Earl L. McPheeters, 59, 520 N. Madison, died late Saturday. His funeral will be Tuesday at 2 PM in the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert M. Young officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

McPheeters was born in Fay, and was reared and attended school at Okeene. He entered the United States Army in 1939, and was discharged in 1945 following overseas service in Iran with the 349 Engineer Regiment. On May 8, 1945, he married Bonnie Kammerzell in Wellington, Kansas. They had made their home in Enid following his discharge. He was a truck driver for various Enid firms until ill health forced his retirement. He was affiliated with the Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie; one daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Melanie) Pralle, Heidelberg, Germany; his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth McPheeters, Okeene; one sister, Mrs. Kathleen Sanchez, Derby, Kansas; and three brothers, Bob, Okeene, Wesley, Omaha, Nebraska, and Lester, Monahans, Texas.
