The funeral services for Pearl McMurphy, 90-year-old Enid resident, will be 1 p.m. today, July 22, 2007, at Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Wade Burleson will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pearl was born Aug. 5, 1916, in Okeene, OK to Sam and Millie Lorenz and died Friday, July 20, 2007, at Greenbrier Nursing Home.

On April 5, 1936, she married John D. McMurphy in Wood-ward, OK where the couple made their home. They later moved to Enid where John owned and operated a construction company and Pearl made a home for them. The couple enjoyed traveling and spending time with their grandchildren. Pearl was a member of Davis Park Christian Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Coleda and husband George Failing II of Tulsa, OK; her granddaughters, Cari Cooper and husband Mike of Enid, OK and Mary Lane and husband Greg of Tulsa, OK; one great-grandson, Chris-topher, and two sisters, Irene McMurphy of Woodward, OK and Lela Reed of Guthrie, OK.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John, one brother, and two sisters.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to OMRF (Alzheimer’s division).
