Funeral services for Mrs. Mary H. McLendon, 89, 1121 E. Maine, were at 1:30 PM today in the Chapel of the Fossett Funeral Home.

The Rev. Orville Parham officiated and burial was in the Memorial Park.

Mrs. McLendon died early Saturday in a local hospital. She was born in Monongahela, Pennsylvania, January 9, 1887, and moved to a farm near Aetna, Kansas, in October 1914. The family moved to Alva in 1930.

Mrs. McLendon had lived in Enid since 1961 she was a member of the United Methodist Church in Alva, the Alva Garden Club and a Doll Club in Alva.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Clarence L. (Theresa) Johnson of Jet; five grandsons, Don A. Johnson, Enid, Gene A. and Jack J. Johnson, both of New Jersey, Larry L. of Kiowa, Kansas, and Lanny B., Stillwater; 15 great – grandchildren.
