ENID, Okla. - Graveside service for Eva Lucille Record McKnight, 96-year-old Enid resident, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Memorial Park Cemetery Garden Chapel. Rev. Susan Southall will officiate. Service is under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Eva was born March 1, 1917, in Oakland, Ark., to Fay and Myrtle (Lovelace) Record and passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013, in Oklahoma City, with her family by her side.

When she was a young child, her family moved to Enid, Okla., in a covered wagon. Eva attended school in Enid.

After graduating from Enid Business College, Eva worked at McKnight Insurance Agency. Several years later, Eva opened a maternity shop in Oklahoma City. She later moved to Tulsa, opening two Eva's Maternity Shops.

After a long and successful career in retail, Eva retired to Enid, marrying Eugene McKnight in 1985. Eva was a member of First United Methodist Church in Enid. She was recently a resident of The Commons.

She is survived by two nieces, Sandra Kadavy and Judith Acton; stepchildren, Linda Pickens, Patricia McKnight and Chad McKnight; many great and great-great-nieces and nephews, step-grandchildren, and great-stepgrandchildren; cousin, Imogene Price; and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by husband, Eugene; parents, Fay and Myrtle Record; brother, Howard Record; sister-in-law, Wilma Record; and sister, Alene Record.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to First United Methodist Church.
