Word where she received Tuesday of the sudden death of Patty Garber McKay of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, former Enid resident.
Funeral services tentatively have been set for Friday in Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lloyd Lambert of Central Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was born in Enid, November 16, 1936, attended Enid schools and was graduated from Enid High School. She attended Mount Vernon Girls School in Washington, D. C., for one year, and received a degree in sociology from the University of Oklahoma. While at OU, she served her sorority, Delta Delta Delta, as president.
Upon her marriage to William McKay in the summer of 1958 at Alexandria, Minnesota, she moved to Calgary where she did social work and was active in the Junior League, working with the child delinquency program.
She is survived by her father, Martin Garber, of Dallas, Texas, and Enid; one brother, Martin Garber Jr., Fairfax, Virginia; one sister, Mrs. Jere Sturgis, Enid, and a daughter, Martíe of Calgary. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Martin (Pete) Garber.
