LaVena V. McIntosh, 80, 1918 Mosher Drive, Apt B, died Saturday afternoon in an Enid hospital. Her funeral is at 10 AM Tuesday in the Emmanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. H. James Reimer officiating.

Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.

Born July 31, 1896 in Illinois, she was three years old when her family moved to Oktaha, settling on a farm. She was educated in Oktaha and later worked as an operator for a private telephone company there.

She later moved to Okmulgee working for Southwestern Bell. Mrs. McIntosh moved to Enid in 1928, continuing to work for the telephone company until she retired in 1952.

Mrs. McIntosh was a Telephone Pioneer, member of the Ruth Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and Past Grand Martha of Oklahoma; a member of the Emmanuelle Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class.

Surviving are a sister, Florence Royer, of the home; and several nieces and nephews.
