The funeral for Ivis O. McGuar, 67, 1424 W. Cherokee, will be at 2 PM Monday at Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Wendyl Glenn of Olivet Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Ivis O. Shields was born January 17, 1922, south of Enid and moved with the family to Texas. She moved back to Enid in 1940. In 1942, she married Art McGuar. They farmed west of Marshall, retiring in 1969. They then moved to Enid. She was a member of Olivet Baptist Church and a cook at Enid Memorial Hospital for 10 years.

Surviving are one daughter, Peggy Pyle of Oklahoma City; one son, Perry of Fort Worth, Texas; four sisters, Joyce Calloway of South Haven, Kansas, Jean Reece of Enid, Marilyn Myers of Louisville, Kentucky, and Lucille Sade of Derby, Kansas; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the church.
