December 31, 1927 - July 24, 2019

A Celebration of Life for Nell R. McCamey, age 91, of Enid, is 10:00 am, Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Nell was born December 31, 1927 in Lorenzo, Texas to J. Vernon and Minnie (Campbell) Davis, and passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2019 in Enid.

Nell was raised in west Texas and graduated from McCamey, Texas. She married the love of her life George McCamey on November 1, 1946. They moved to Enid in 1963 where they made their home. Nell helped George with the Antique Automobile Museum. Nell loved fishing, traveling and to work crossword puzzles, working in the yard, and cheering on her grandchildren at various sporting events. Her home was filled with love and she always had open arms and an open heart for family and friends. She enjoyed her Wacky Pak from Sonic with a Cherry Limeade on hair day.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband George McCamey; granddaughter, Brooke Elizabeth McCamey; and ten siblings. She is survived by two sons, Jim McCamey and wife Liz, of Ringwood; Buddy McCamey and wife Val, of Enid; daughter Teresa Haines and husband Ben, of Enid; fifteen grandchildren, Nancy McCamey-Beck and husband Brian; Hillary Meritt and husband Tony; Shana Jones and husband Shelby; Zack Wilson and wife Amanda; Brandon McCamey and wife Mandy; Patricia McCamey; Michelle McCamey; Kelli McLerran and husband Brian; Brent Haines and wife Jenny; Mark Haines and wife Christy; Gretchen Haltom; Jennifer McGuire; Haley Gauley; Stephen Puckett; Matt Puckett and wife Chelsea; twenty-one great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Edna McAnally and Bette Luckey, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all the staff at Brookdale Assisted Living, St. Mary's Hospital and Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home for the special care that was provided to Nell and her family.

Memorials in Nell's name may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation Alzheimer's Division with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
