Funeral service for Dellis Lile Martin will be 10 a.m. today, Nov. 20, 2013, at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Kevin Choate officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors conducted by the U.S. Air Force Silver Talon Honor Guard. Service is under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Dellis was born May 3, 1929, in Creston, W.V., to Robert and Myrtle (Garretson) Martin and died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013, at his home in Enid. In 1948, he graduated from Iaeger High School in West Virginia. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1950, and after 20 years of dedicated service, retired in 1971.

On March 1, 1953, Dellis married Peggy June Wackerman.

After his military career, he worked for Clinesmith Furniture from 1971, until his retirement in 1991. He then worked for Enterprise Rent-A-Car from 1994 until 2006.

Dellis was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Bradley Neil Martin.

Dellis is survived by his wife of 60 years, Peggy; daughter, Terri Roberts of Enid; son, Dellis Keith Martin and wife Kathy of Stillwater; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Memorials can be given through the funeral home to OMRF, diabetes division.
