OBITUARY
Funeral services for Herb Lipps were held June 9, 1966 in Mennonite Brethern Church with Rev. Waldo Wiebe officiating. Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger Allen Funeral Home of Enid.
He was born on a farm near Okeene and took over the farm responsibilities when his parents retired. He married Esther Rusch in Fairview on August 17, 1922. They moved to Enid in 1942. He died in an Enid hospital on June 5, 1966 after a short illness.
Herb was prominent in cattle auction circles and was well known in Texas, Kansas, and Oklahoma for his dairy cattle business.
He was survived by his wife, Esther; a son Charles Lipps of Enid; three sisters: Martha Tinneman, Rachel Brickman and Lovina Mondick all of Enid; brother Floyd Lipps of Okeene and four grandchildren.
