Celebration of Life and Remembrance for Janet Louise Lorenz, 72, of Enid, Okla., is 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Ted Kuschel will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Janet passed away on Monday, Feb. 16, 2015, in Enid. She was born July 6, 1942, in Okeene, Okla., to Howard Lorenz and Erma (Vogt) Lorenz.

She was a graduate of Kremlin High School. Janet was the salutatorian in her graduating class.

She loved children and worked many years in the nursery at Emmanuel Baptist Church, as well as Daybridge, Happy Time Day Care and Kids Are Great. She also loved cats, especially her cat, Max.

She is survived by two brothers, Robert Lorenz and wife Deanna of Enid, and Michael Lorenz and wife Velda of Stillwater; four nieces, Debra Varney and husband Steve of Enid, Susan Lorenz of Enid, Rebecca Slaton and husband Bruce of Overland Park, Kan., and Sally DeMonbrun and husband Geramy of Olathe, Kan.; one nephew, Greg Lorenz and wife Joyce of Farmington, Minn.; and four great-nephews and one great-niece.

She was preceded in death by her parents and numerous aunts and uncles.

Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
