July 28, 1951 - June 22, 2020

Court Edward Loomis, III, formerly of Enid, passed away on June 22 at his home in Trophy Club, Texas. He was born to C. E. Loomis, Jr (Bud) and Madge (Crow) Loomis on July 28, 1951, in Enid. He was a graduate of Enid High School, class of 1969 and the University of Oklahoma 1973. At OU, he was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity. He married Klista Kisner Loomis in 1993 and spent the rest of his life in North Texas.

Much of his early career followed in the steps of his father and grandfather running the family furniture business in Enid. In later years, he continued in the furniture retail business in several different capacities. He was a member of the Enid AMBUCS and the Grand National Quail Hunt.

In March 2004, he received the gift of life with a heart transplant. He spent hours in support of heart transplant survivors and educating others in the importance of organ donations.

He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Court is survived by his wife, Klista; son, Court Edward Loomis IV (Ceth); sisters, Kim Loomis Irwin (Dean) and Nan Loomis Miller as well as several nieces and nephews and a host of life-long friends along with his constant companion Arnie.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic a memorial service will be held in Enid later in the fall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Court's name may be directed to UT Southwestern Medical Center, PO Box 910888 Dallas, TX. 75391 or online at engage.utsouthwestern.edu to support the heart transplant program. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
