Funeral service for Robert "Dewayne" Lingenfelter, 61, of Enid, Okla., will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at Ladusau-Evans Chapel, with the Rev. Carrell Still officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. today, Dec. 10, at the funeral home.

Dewayne was born Jan. 8, 1952, in Enid, Okla., to James and Narcelyn Parriott Lingenfelter and passed away Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, surrounded by his loving family.

He attended and graduated from Enid High in 1970. He went to Okmulgee Tech and graduated in 1972.

Dewayne married his high school sweetheart, Nadine Williams, on May 20, 1972, in Enid.

Dewayne worked 10 years for MAC Tools and later beside his father at Parriotts Garage until he became the owner in 1998.

Dewayne enjoyed drag racing, deer hunting, riding motorcycles and taking long road trips.

Dewayne was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed spending time outdoors.

Dewayne enjoyed and loved to be around his grandchildren and family.

He is survived by his wife, Nadine of the home; two daughters, Ashley Currier and husband Jason and Kristen Cue and husband Nathan, all of Enid; son, Brandon Lingenfelter and wife April of Stillwater; five grandchildren, Caleb, Lauren, Jake, Bastien and Madison; parents, James and Narcelyn Lingenfelter of Enid; sister, Twyla Lingenfelter of Enid; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Relay for Life with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Dexeus and his staff for their wonderful care.
