Services for Kenneth Vincent Lewis, 87, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2007, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Wiggs officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

He was born August 2, 1920, in Highland, New York, to William H. and Francis Decker Lewis and died early Saturday, September 29, 2007, in St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

He attended Highland Falls and West Point High School. He learned to fly at Tri-State Air School at Montgomery, N.Y. during his senior year of high school. He serviced in the Army Air Corp during World War II in the Air Training Command. Kenneth and Phyllis M. Best were married in Enid, August 8, 1945. He received his honorable discharge from the service and was employed by George E. Failing Company from 1946 to 1985.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis of the home; one daughter, Nancy Nasse and husband Arthur, of Mustang; and daughter-in-law, Venus Lewis; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Kenneth Daniel Lewis; three sisters and a brother.
