Jayne was born Dec. 8, 1957, in Alva, Okla., the daughter of Carl D. And Noreen Hoover Lenz and died Saturday, June 28, 2014, in Enid.

Jayne was baptized in 1972, at Lahoma Road Church of Christ.

She was a 1976 graduate of Enid High School and Oklahoma State University in 1981, with a degree in human resources.

She was employed at Vance AFB Clinic in the QA Department for a short time, but decided she wanted to pursue a career in medical records. She began working at Enid Memorial Hospital in medical records in 1982. She found this was the profession she wanted and obtained her Registered Health Information Management degree and became Assistant Director of Health Information Management at Enid Memorial/ Enid Regional Hospital and then at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center for a total of more than 30 years in this profession.

Jayne was a member of Altrusa Club of Enid, and also of AHIMA and OKHIMA, where she served on several committees.

Jayne’s nieces and nephews were her pride and joy and she spoiled all of them.

She loved the mountains and the ocean, and she loved to travel. Jayne had a smile for everyone and was a Bass Hospital Employee of the Year in 2012.

Throughout her illness, she fought with everything she had until her body gave up. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend. She will be missed by so many, especially her faithful Yorkie, Sadie.

Survivors include her mother, Noreen Lenz of Enid; two sisters, Ruth Ann Lenz of Blackwell, Okla., and Neta Hercyk and husband John of Ponca City, Okla.; brother, Dr. Joel Lenz and wife Lori of Enid, Okla.; two nieces, Kelsi Lenz, and Katie Harrison and husband Joel; and three nephews, Tyler Lenz, Colby Lenz and wife Allyson, and Brian Hercyk.
