July 28, 1928 - April 10, 2018

Celebration of Life Service for Norma Jean LeGrant, age 89, of Enid, is 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018, at the Willow View United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mark McAdow officiating. Burial is in Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Norma was born July 28, 1928, in Enid, to Wallace and Temple (Ramey) McKee and died April 10, 2018 in Enid. Her childhood was spent in the Potter community, southeast of Covington, attending a one-room elementary school. The family later moved near Hayward and she graduated from Hayward High School in 1945. She then attended Oklahoma A& M. She married A.L. LeGrant, December 4, 1947, and lived in Covington, then Oklahoma City, until moving to Enid in 1956. She was homemaker, but also worked in the family business. Norma was a member of Willow View United Methodist Church, teaching Sunday school classes for 61 years. She was also a member of U. M. Women.

She is survived by her two sons, Randy and his wife Rebecca LeGrant of Guilford, CT, and Roger and his wife Lindy of Enid; two daughters, Elaine and husband Mike Akers of Owasso, and Melody Willeford of Woodland Park, CO; 12 grandchildren: Christopher, Alexandra, Molly and Abraham LeGrant, Zachary and Colter LeGrant, and Ramsey Willeford, Laynie Wallace Shebester, Kaycie Wallace Craig, Dustin Wallace, Sabrina Akers Maness and Ryan Akers; 18 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Melvin McKee of Tulsa, and Clarence McKee of Tulsa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband A.L. and a grandson, Parker LeGrant. Memorials may be made to Willow View United Methodist Church.
