A Celebration of Life for Zela Layton, 91, of Enid will be Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 3:00 PM the Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Vernon Racer officiating. Services are under the direction of the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Zela was born July 22, 1924 in Foss, OK the daughter of George and Ruie Stubblefield Black and passed away January 10, 2016.She was united in marriage to Emil Layton March 8, 1945 in Oakwood, OK and he preceded her in death September 19, 1977. She was employed by St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center as a nurse’s aide. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed travelling especially to Colorado. Zela will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Survivors include three daughters, Wanda Quier of Enid, Carilyn Beebe and her husband Bill of Enid, Rita Layton of Sand Springs, OK, three sons, Larry Layton and his wife Peggy of Kaw City, OK, Erie Layton of Edmond, OK and Rodney Layton and his wife Rosie of Enid, OK, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren, one sister, Gracie Fox of Fairmont, OK and two brothers, Herman Black of Ringwood, OK and Harold Black of Oakwood, OK and a son-in -law, David Marshall of Blackwell, OK., and a daughter-in-law, Wendy Layton of Clearwater, KS. She was also preceded in death by one son, Leo and two daughters, Opal Marshall and Sue Mootz.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Circle of Love, The Commons Methodist Home or OMRF, Alzheimers division with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home custodian of the funds. Online condolences may be made and viewing of the service at www.ladusauevans.com.
