The Home-Going service for Venice L. Lawrence, 36, of Enid, Okla., will be 1 p.m., Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Gerald Hall will officiate. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Service is under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Venice was born May 9, 1978, to Andrew L. Lawrence and Gladys J. (Norwood) Lawrence in Enid, Okla., and passed away on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, in Enid.

She was born and raised in Enid. She graduated from Enid High School in 1996, and attended Northern Oklahoma College. She moved to Dallas to continue her studies.

She returned to Enid to be near family. She worked at Vance Air Force Base until she was physically unable. She also volunteered at Monroe Elementary School working with handicapped children.

She is survived by her parents, Andrew and Gladys Lawrence; son, Xavevz Demond Wilson of Long beach, Calif.; siblings, Robert Norwood, Edith Jackson, Andrew Howard, Jimmy Webster, Johnny Lawrence, Val Gean Webster and Troy Lawrence; uncles, Johnny Lawrence, Lawrence Norwood and Frank Norwood; aunts, Bonell Fields, Terry Andrews and Emma Alexander; great-uncle, Raymond Norwood and great-aunt, Inez Jackson; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Foundation, with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
