ENID — The funeral service for Irvin Adron Larkey, 87, will be 10 a.m. today, July 1, 2010, at New Hope United Methodist Church with Dr. Sheila Combs-Francis officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

He was born May 23, 1923, in Waukomis to Charles and Hettie (McMurray) Larkey and died Monday, June 28, 2010.

He graduated from Waukomis High School in 1941 and later from Enid Business College.

He was a farmer-rancher, raising registered Angus cattle. He was a member of Oklahoma Angus Association and was president of OK&T Angus Association.

On Dec. 26, 1962, he married Bobett Sheets. They have one daughter, Diane Kay (Larkey) Cutcomb.

He was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church and served in the Air Force for two years.

He is survived by his wife, Bobett, of the home; daughter, Diane Kay Cutcomb and husband J.D. of Savannah, Texas; granddaughter, Caitlyn Sue Cutcomb of Savannah, Texas; sister, Lela Rahm of Enid; several nieces, Nancy Rahm of Enid, Kathy and husband Eddie Rhinehart of Atlanta, Ga., and Nancy Sheets of Dallas, Texas; several nephews, Sam Sheets and wife Debbie of Houston, Texas, and Jerry Sheets and wife Sonya of Spring, Texas; four great-nieces; and one great-nephew.

Irvin was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Edith White.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to New Hope United Methodist Church or OMRF, diabetes division.
