Funeral service for Sherry Sue Lara, 47-year-old Enid, Okla., resident, will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014, at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Vernon Lee will officiate. Sherry will be cremated and laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Sherry was born Dec. 1, 1966, in Enid, Okla., to Charles E. “Gene” and Sharon Ann (Wright) Splane and died suddenly Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014, in Oklahoma City.

She attended Enid schools and later earned her GED. She loved listening to music and always enjoyed spending time with family.

She was a loving daughter, sister, mother and “Sandma.” Sherry will be deeply missed, and how her smile could light up a room.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Sherry is survived by her daughter, Aimee Milam and husband Nathan; sons, Eliazar “Buddy” Lara and David Lara; five grandchildren; father, Gene; brother, James Splane; sister, Julie Reed; nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Memorials can be given in her name through the funeral home to OMRF, heart or diabetes division.
