ENID, Okla. - Funeral service for Roberta Louise Landers, 72, of Fort Worth, will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 5:30-7 p.m. today at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

God opened his arms to another angel. Roberta Louise Holloway Landers was born Dec. 11, 1940, in Hutchinson, Kan., to Glen and Florence (Butts) Holloway and lost her battle on Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, to lung cancer.

After graduating from Enid High School, she married the "Love of Her Life," Billie H. Landers.

They enjoyed traveling and moving all over the world with the United States Air Force. She was a loving, wonderful mother to two children, and eventually they moved back to Enid.

Roberta worked a short time at George E. Failings and then started her own business doing stained glass, which she was very passionate over. About that time, she started opening up her home to foreign exchange students from all over the world, which many of them she was still in contact with.

Roberta was a super great-grandmother and had become a GiGi to four little great-grandbabies. They had become the ?New Light in her life.?

Roberta was preceded in death by her father and loving husband, Billie H. Landers.

She is survived by her mother, Florence Holloway of Enid; her children, Robert Landers and fiancee Vickie Jones of Durant, and Michelle Velasquez and husband Joe of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Michael and wife Kristyn, great-grandson Parker and Maverick, Nicole Landers, Matthew and wife Sara, great-grandson Aydan, Marc and wife Alyssa great granddaughter Lily, Shannon Landers, Anthony, Angela and Shelby Perkins; brothers and sisters Wayne, Kathy Boese and husband Darrell Sr., Pat Poindexter and husband Jim, Nancy Sharp, all of Enid, Mary Beth Burns and husband Cliff of Castle Rock, Colo., Walter and wife Teresa of Waldron, Ark.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
