December 9, 1934 - July 23, 2021

The funeral for Jimmy Don Lagan, 86-year-old Enid resident, is 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 29, 2021, in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Steve Williams will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Jimmy was born December 9, 1934, in Enid to James Henry and Thelma Estelle (Lyday) Lagan and died Friday, July 23, 2021, at his home in Enid.

Jimmy attended local schools and graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1952. He enlisted in the Navy at age 18 on August 1953. He later enlisted in the Air Force, retiring February 1, 1973.

He began working with Continental Trend Drilling in the oilfields. He worked various jobs in the oilfields. However, his favorite job was head custodian at Monroe Elementary School. He loved the kids, and he always had extra milk-money for whoever needed it. His greatest joy was taking care of his family.

Jimmy is survived by his children, Terri Prather and husband Greg, Tracy Guy and Danny Bradley, Mike Lagan, Jim Lagan and Peggy, Donny Lagan and wife Mandy, Randy Lagan and wife Denise, Andrew Lagan and Angela; seventeen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Duane; and an "honorary granddaughter," Natalie Grimes.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wayne; daughter, Deanna; two aunts, Francesa and Alice; and grandson, Cody Fisher.
