A Memorial service for Lloyd Beldon Lacy, 79, of Enid, will be 2 PM Wednesday at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Don Tines will officiate. Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

He was born June 26, 1927, in Enid, to Lester and Irene Motley Lacy and died Monday, October 30, 2006, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center, Enid.

He was raised in Enid, attended Enid public schools and graduated from Enid high school in 1945. He attended the University of Oklahoma. After getting his masters, he taught in Tulsa public schools for several years. He taught in the Job Corps Center in Guthrie for several years. He was a newspaper printer in Lawton and Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he also worked as a disc jockey at a jazz radio station. After moving back to Enid, he volunteered at the library, teaching English to immigrants.

Surviving are his brother, Herbert Lacy of Pond Creek.

He was preceded in death by one brother.
