The funeral for Jack A. LaCroix, 84, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Gay Cocheres will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with full military rites conducted by the Silver Talon Honor Guard of Vance Air Force Base. Arrangements are by Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

He was born Dec. 8, 1921, in Soper, to Julius Alfred and Ruth Randell LaCroix and died Saturday, May 6, 2006.

He started school at Goodland Presbyterian Boarding School, later moving to Seminole and then to Antlers, where he graduated from high school. He attended Bacone College in Muskogee. He served in the Air Force during World War II from 1942 to 1945. Following his discharge, he graduated from Oklahoma A&M;, Stillwater, where he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity.

He married Novella Marie Harrison June 28, 1949, in Oklahoma City. She died May 19, 2005.

They moved to Enid in 1951 where they were members of First Presbyterian Church and he was a deacon, elder and was active in Chapter III. He worked as a salesman for Wilson and Co., and later for Blooms Meat Co. until he retired in 1986. He was a 50-year member of Enid Masonic Lodge 501, Jaycees and Elks.

Surviving are two sons, Jack LaCroix Jr. of Aspen, Colo., and Michael LaCroix of Minneapolis; daughter, Linda Moore of Enid; a sister, Christina Crews of Hugo; a brother, Eugene LaCroix of Port Arthur, Texas; and 6 grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Novella, he was preceded in death by two brothers.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to First Presbyterian Church.
