ENID — A private family graveside service for Phil Lack, 74, will be Saturday, April 2, 2011, in Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Dan O'Daniel officiating. Arrangements are by Anderson - Burris Funeral Home. Visitation for family and friends will be 6-7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

He was born to Thomas and Ruby (Wolf) Lack on Aug. 17, 1936, in Prue and died Thursday, March 31, 2011, in Oklahoma City.

Phil grew up and attended school in Sulphur and then served in the U.S. Marines.

On Sept. 2, 1960, he married Dixie Crissup in Texas. They made their home in Enid, where he established his "50" year career in the oil industry. His last venture, Permian Well Service based out of Ringwood, continues to thrive.

"Poppy" to his grandkids, was a self-made man. But his most prized accomplishment was his family.

He is survived by his wife, Dixie of the home; children, Derald Crissup of Norman, Gary Crissup of Lahoma, Teary Crissup of Bedford, Texas, Rita Montgomery of Carrollton, Texas, Becky Hibbard of Southlake, Texas, Jim Lack and Jeff Lack, both of Enid; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Marie Wilson of Hominy.

Phil was preceded in death by his parents; brother and sisters, John Lack, Vie Lack, Jane Lack, Guila Primrose, Buster Lack, Henrietta Whisenant and Rose Hopkins; grandchildren, Cory Lack and Andrea Lack.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Funeral service for Dixie E. Lack, age 87 years, of Enid, is 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2017, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Vernon Lee officiating. Burial follows in Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Dixie was born to Jay and Edith (Lewis) Geddes on May 10, 1930, in Mooreland, Oklahoma, and died Saturday, December 23, 2017, in Enid. She grew up and attended school in Woodward, where she loved playing basketball. In 1948, she married Robert Marvin Crissup and had four children. After Marvin's death, she attended and graduated from Enid Beauty College. She then met and married Phil Lack in 1960. They completed their family with three additional children. Dixie loved watching her kids and then her grandkids play sports! She was renamed "Nanny" by her first grandbaby. Being "Nanny" was her pride and joy! She was an avid knitter and crocheter, and had fun showering her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids, with hats, booties, blankets and sweaters.

She is survived by her children, Derald Crissup and wife Marsa, of Norman; Gary Crissup of Lahoma; Teary Crissup and wife Tracy, of Hennessey; Rita Montgomery and husband Tom, of Lewisville, Texas; Jim Lack and wife Pam, of Enid; Becky Hibbard and husband Rob, of Southlake, Texas; Jeff Lack of Enid; 16 grandkids and 18 great-grandkids.

Dixie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Phil Lack; brother and sister, Lowell Jay Geddes and Darla Capps; and her grandchildren, Cory Lack and Andrea Lack.

The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
