Memorial Park Cemetery


September 24, 1930 - July 12, 2022

Graveside Services for Jackie Eugene Lewis will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2022, at Memorial Park Cemetery, with Rev. Jim Edmison officiating. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Jack and Regina were married January 23, 1951. Jack joined the Army in 1951, spending time in Korea. He returned to work for OG&E, as a lineman, retiring after 39 years and four months as a Line Supervisor. During those years he coached little league football. He also had a wood shop, making items for friends and family.

All their leisure time was spent fishing and boating at Canton Lake, where they owned a cabin. They took their three daughters and other children to Branson, Missouri, for vacations. Regina passed away December 11, 1989.

Jack married Peggy Karns Hite on December 15, 1990, and gained another daughter, Angela.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents; stillborn son, Jackie Eugene, Jr.; siblings, Geraldine, Claudine, Tom, Billy, Bob, Fred, Betty, Greta, and Jim.

Jack is survived by his wife 31 years, Peggy Lewis; daughters, Barbara Wayt and husband Randall, Kim Richburg, Jill Clodfelter and Angela Armstrong and husband Marcus; eight grandchildren, Ryan, James, Matthew, Cassi, Jasmine, Asia, Donavan, Tori; fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
