Services for Enid realtor, Russell W. Kuykendall, 65, who died Wednesday night in a local hospital, will be at 2 PM Sunday in the First Methodist Church with Dr. Robert J. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.

He was born in Johnson City, Illinois, and was reared in Shawnee. He came to Enid in 1929.

He supervised the construction of the first B. F. Goodrich store in Enid which he managed for several years. He operated an appliance store from 1947 until 1955 and then managed a fabric store until 1957. In February 1960 he opened the Kuykendall's Real Estate Company.

He was a member of the First Methodist Church, a member of Kiwanis Club for 30 years, member of Garfield Lodge 501 Ancient Free and Accepted Masons and also a 32nd degree Mason. He was a Shriner and a member of Akdar Temple, India Temple, Enid Shrine Club, Shawnee Shrine Club and the Shawnee Lodge No. 637 of BPO Elks.

Survivors include one son, Robert, 1745 Pawhuska; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Ball, Seminole, Mrs. Frances Lavelle, Miami, Florida; three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice May, August 31, 1963.

The Enid Shrine Club will sit as honorary pallbearers.
