Ivan C. Kutz, 75, beloved husband, father and friend was called home to be with the Lord November 19, 2005. Services will be at 12 noon, Tuesday, November 22, 2005, in Enid at the Emmanuel Baptist Church with Reverend Wade Burleson officiating. The burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Ivan came into this world April 18, 1930, in Enid to Mervyn Peters and Mabel Ione Saeger Kutz. He grew up among many relatives and friends. He attended Enid schools and was a member of the Longfellow and Enid High band. He joined the Oklahoma National Guard. He married his soul mate Dorothy Fishinghawk at the Calvary Baptist Church on August 20, 1950. This was a union to last 55 years. Ivan was recalled to the 45th Division of the U. S. Army to serve in the 189th field artillery in Korea from 1950-1953. He returned from Korea earning the Army Occupation Medal and the U.N. Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal with one Bronze Camp Star. He was honorably discharged where he returned to his loving wife and first son Jim in Enid.

Ivan had a desire to own a business so he attended Barber College in Oklahoma City for two years. He returned to Enid, set up shop with his mother, Ivan's Barber Shop which was located at 400 S. Buchanan since 1955. Ivan served many families and made many friends throughout his career. The location prior to his retirement was in the Continental Towers South in downtown Enid.

Ivan was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church where he was a Sunday school teacher, deacon and hospital chaplain. Ivan enjoyed participating in numerous Christmas pageants at Emmanuel. He previously had been a Sunday school Teacher, member and operator of the sound booth at the First Baptist Church in Enid.

Ivan is survived by his wife Dorothy of the home; 2 daughters and 1 son, Mike and Kae Kutz White of Edmond, John and Patti Kutz Elliott of Edmond, and one son Tim of Enid. Eight grandchildren, Ted, Kathy, and Darren White, Isaac, Yvette, and Cari Elliott, Olivia and Harrison Kutz; one great-grandson, Ayden White; one sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Jerry Erwin of Enid. Extended Family is Bruce and Mary Schulz and children Hank and Aisley.

He was preceded in death by beloved son Jim C. Kutz; two brothers, Richard H. Kutz and Allan B. Kutz and his parents, Mervyn and Mable Kutz.
