October 10, 1939 - May 12, 2020

A Celebration of Life service for Joyce M. Kurtz, age 80, of Enid, will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Jim Edmison officiating. Cremation and services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Joyce was born and adopted by the late Theodore and Stella Shattuck Gray in Wichita, Kansas, on October 10, 1939, and passed away on May 12, 2020, at the home with her closest friend by her side.

She married the late Robert G. Abiera in 1955 and is survived by their children: Robert D. Abiera and Kimberly Moorman of Enid, and Angel Arnold of Albion, NY. In 1986, she married Charles Kurtz, and he passed away December 4, 2018. Also surviving her are 2 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

She was an avid reader, a music lover, and enjoyed playing her piano. She loved to garden and was a passionate supporter of animal rights.

Memorials may be made to Enid SPCA, Forever Friends and Meow INC, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
