Roger A. Kunkel

Roger A. Kunkel, 68, Route 4, died Wednesday evening in a local hospital after a period of ill health. He was born in January, 1906, in Memphis, Missouri, and came to Oklahoma with his parents when the family settled northeast of Enid.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 80. He and Pauline Magdeburg were married in 1929 and she survives him. Kunkel was formerly employed by the Gulf Research and Development Company, spending several years in South America for the firm. He moved northeast of Enid in 1944 and had lived there since that time.

In addition to Mrs. Kunkel, he is survived by a son, Troy Kunkel of Helena; his mother, Mrs. Arthur Kunkel of Enid; two sisters, Mrs. Julian (Nancy) Stetnish of Enid and June Mather of Enid; two brothers, Harry and Robert, both of Enid. Two brothers and a daughter predeceased him.

Funeral services will be at 10 AM Saturday in the Chapel of the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. James Altfilish officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
