Well – Known Enid Resident, Lee H. Kruckenberg, Dies

Lee H. Kruckenberg, 74, first president of the Northwest Sportsmen's Association, died Saturday afternoon in a local hospital following a sudden illness.

His funeral rites will be at 2 PM Monday in the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Dr. R. G. Trent officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Kruckenberg was born July 16, 1889, in Newell, Iowa, and had lived in Enid since 1899.

He was married to Myrtle Lemmon and she preceded him in death October 31, 1970.

Kruckenberg was a member of the Draft Board, and served on it during World War I.

He was associated with the Business Men's Assurance Company for 21 years and had been active in the Republican Party for many years.

Kruckenberg served with the U. S. Army during World War I and was a member of the American Legion. He was a member of the American Lutheran Church, the Masonic Lodge and a charter member of the Northwest Sportsmen's Association.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. LeRoy (Norma) Tabor okay of Enid; three grandchildren; three brothers, Louie C., Oscar and W. J., all of Enid; two sisters, Mrs. Ralph O'Malley, Ponca City and Mrs. Elvina Marquart, Wichita, Kansas.
