Memorial Park Cemetery





A graveside service for Evelyn W. Krausse, 95, of Garber, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Garden Chapel in Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid. The Rev. Roy Fleshman will officiate. Arrangements are by Dugger Funeral Home, Garber.

She was born Nov. 10, 1910, in Ochelata, to Grover Henry and Mary Elizabeth Wilbar Hornstien and died Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

She graduated from Oklahoma A&M; in 1934.

She married Willie “Bill” Krausse Aug. 6, 1934, in Bartlesville. He died July 29, 1999.

She was a member of Garfield Homemakers Club, Garber Quilting Club and Christian Women’s Club. She won first place in 1990 for a poem she wrote in the Oklahoma State Conference on Aging Senior Poetry Contest.

Surviving are two sons, Karl W. Krausse of Wichita, Kan., and Stanley D. Krausse of Adair; one sister, Clara Kitlinger of Florida; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Bill, she was preceded in death by one sister.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home, P.O. Box 66, Garber, OK 73738, to the charity of donor’s choice.
