ENID — Funeral services for Harold F. Kratzer, 85-year-old Enid resident, will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 13, 2011, at Anderson - Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with family will be 6-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Harold was born November 13, 1925, in Butler, OK, the son of Perry Kratzer and Inez (Fouts) Kratzer, and died June 10, 2011 in Enid.

Harold was educated in Lacy and then joined the United States Navy.

He married Bertha Arnold September 15, 1950, in Enid.

Harold retired from Enid Fire Department after 25 years of service and was the owner of Enid Fire Equipment.

He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, American Legion and Retired Fire Fighters Association.

Harold is survived by his wife Bertha of the home; three daughters, Janice Graham (Dick) of Fort Worth, Carol Newman (Ken) of Enid, Linda McElligott (Paul) of Jakarta, Indonesia; one son, Steve Kratzer of Singapore; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Velma Wood and Pauline Mallory; and one brother, Bob Kratzer.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Vivian Cox and Doreen McDonald; and three brothers, Stan Smith, Eldon "Buzz" Kratzer and Raymond Kratzer.

May 21, 1928 - December 22, 2020

Celebration of Life Service for Bertha I. Kratzer, 92 of Enid, will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 24, 2020 in the Anderson-Burris Chapel with Rev. Kwan Kim officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Bertha was born May 21, 1928 at Sand Creek, OK to Walter and Jennie Stephenson Arnold, and passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 in Enid. She was the youngest of eight children, graduating from Gore High School and later received her nursing certification from Enid General Hospital Foundation School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse at Enid General Hospital and later owned and operated Enid Fire Equipment.

She married Harold Kratzer on September 15, 1950 in Enid where they made their home. The two of them had many fond memories with friends and family at their second home at Canton Lake.

Bertha was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters and four brothers. She is survived by her children, Janice Graham and husband Dick, Carol Newman and husband Ken, Steve Kratzer and wife Lai Chun, and Linda McElligott and husband Paul, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
