June 16, 1947 - July 6, 2019

A Celebration of Life for Sheldon Andrew Kolb, age 72, of Edmond, formerly of Lahoma, is 2:00 pm, Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Kolb and Dr. David Kolb officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Sheldon was born June 16, 1947 in El Paso, Texas to Virgil and Florine (Roberts) Kolb, and passed away Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City.

Sheldon graduated from Austin High School, El Paso, Texas in 1965. He entered the Army in 1966 and was stationed in Korea and was honorably discharged in 1969. He was employed by the United States Postal Service for over 32 years, working in Duncan, Oklahoma and later transferred to Enid, Oklahoma, eventually retiring in 2003. After retirement, he made wood crafts and went to many craft shows throughout the area. Sheldon married Marcene Goll on April 6, 1974. They made their home in Lahoma, Oklahoma until 2018 when they moved to Edmond, Oklahoma to be closer to family.

Sheldon is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Laryn Kolb, of Edmond; two brothers, Ronald Kolb and wife Tita, of Hagerstown, Indiana; David Kolb and wife Becky, of Greensboro, North Carolina; mother-in-law, Margaret Goll, of Enid; brother-in-law Dean Goll and wife Ann, of Alva, Oklahoma; 11 nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil in 1989 and Florine in 2012, and his grandparents, Sterl and Cornelia Roberts and William H. and Diamond Kolb.

Memorials in Sheldon's name may be made to Cimarron Public Schools with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
