Melvin Koehn Jr., 43, 348 E. Beech, died Thursday night in a local hospital after becoming suddenly ill at his home.

His funeral will be at 3 PM Sunday at the Willow Road Christian Church with the Rev. Richard Duckworth officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Those who wish may make contributions to the Willow Road Christian Church Building Fund, either direct or through the funeral home.

Koehn was born November 11, 1934, at Carrier and graduated from high school there. He and Shirley Leabow were married May 7, 1955, in Enid and had lived here since that time.

Koehn was supervisor of the data processing/systems at Northrup Worldwide Aviation Services, Inc., at Vance Air Force Base. He was a member of the Willow Road Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife Shirley and two children, Janet and Tim, all of the home, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Koehn of Carrier; five sisters, Mrs. Russell (Elvera) Allen, Ponca City, Mrs. Curtis (Obera) Meyer, Enid, Mrs. Loyd (Bertie) Means, Bixby, Mrs. Bural (Belva) Yoder, Iowa Park, Texas, and Jolene Koehn, Aurora, Colorado.
