M. T. (Pete) King, 66, died early Wednesday morning in a local hospital following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM Friday in the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Will Lane of the Davis Park Christian Church officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.

King was born February 5, 1904, in Lonoke, Arkansas, and moved with his parents at an early age to DeLeon, Texas, where he grew up, attending schools there also. He and Donnie Pearl Moore were married November 7, 1922, and lived in DeLeon until moving to Enid in 1944, making their home at 118 W. Pine.

King was employed by George E. Failing Company, and retired from WABCO, Inc., in 1963. He was a member of the Davis Park Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Walter (Ann) Minor and Mrs. Leo (Edna) Tunnell, both of Enid, Mrs. Kenneth (Jerry) Roach, Ponca City; a son, Sidney D. King, Enid; two brothers, Sidney D. King, Hemet, California, and Jessie King, Gainesville, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Isla Samules, Denver, Colorado; 10 grandchildren and four great – grandchildren.
