ENID, Okla. — Graveside service for Karen Sue (Turner) Kane, 71, of Syracuse, Kan., formerly of Enid, Okla., will be held privately in Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid.

She was born to Joe and Violet (Roberts) Turner on July 17, 1942.

She was born and raised in Enid, graduating from Enid High School in 1960.

She married Harold Kane at the Church of the Nazarene in Enid on Aug. 19, 1960.

She lived various places throughout the world, supporting her husband’s United States Air Force career.

After his retirement from the Air Force, the couple made their home in Las Vegas, Nev., where she received her heart technician education and certification. She worked as a heart tech for nearly 30 years.

The couple retired to Syracuse, Kan. in 2008.

Karen was an avid animal lover and had three very special Yorkies.

She is survived by her husband of over 54 years, Harold of the home; four sisters, Dolores Storey of Oklahoma City, Anita Baker of Cedar Point, N.C., Loretta Johnson of Plano, Texas, and Yvonne Jones of Garland, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephew, cousins and Kookie.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, J.E. Turner, Jack Turner of Scotland, S.D., and Max Turner.
