Jerald Don "Jerry" Kreplin
July 20, 1941 - October 9, 2022

Graveside Services for Jerald Don Kreplin, age 81, of Enid, will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2022, at Memorial Park Cemetery, with Rev Vernon Lee officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Jerald passed away October 9, 2022, at St Mary's Regional Medical Center, Enid, OK. He was born July 20, 1941, to Carl and Eileen Bond Kreplin.

He attended Taft, Emerson his Junior year at OMA, Claremore, OK, and graduated from Enid High in 1959. He attended OSU his freshman year. He graduated from Phillips University in 1966.

In 1960, he married Betty Schultz. He went to work for a major oil company, moving to Indiana. He later became manager of Service Oil Co in Cassopolis, MI. In 1982 they moved back to Enid, and Jerry worked for the Department of Human Services at NORCE, which was formerly Enid State School, until his retirement.

Jerry and Betty had two sons, Kurt and Kevin. He stayed very active keeping up with their school and sporting activities. He coached little league, making sure all the boys played and had a good summer. Living only twenty-five miles from South Bend, IN, and Notre Dame campus, he was lucky to get season tickets for all home games for sixteen years.

Jerry was active in Lions Club and served as president. He was elected to the village council. He enjoyed deer hunting with friends. He was an active member of the Michigan Petroleum Association. He and Betty played bridge and made life-long friends.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty; sons, Kurt and Sherri Kreplin of Savanna, GA, and Kevin and Cheryl Kreplin of Guam; four granddaughters and their families: Katy and Justin Sipes, Marley and Cooper of Savanna, GA, Kelly and David Henson, George and Chandler of Collierville, TN, Mackenzie Kreplin of Moore, OK, Carolene Kreplin of Tucson, AZ; his favorite sister, Dr. Judy Greider of Oklahoma City, OK; and Sir Earl, his little yorkie. Family that precedes him: his mother and father; brother-in-law, Dr. Roger Greider; brother-in-law, Robert and Ann Schultz. He will be remembered as a good man who loved his family.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
