Ervin Jackson, 63, Tulsa, died Monday evening in a Tulsa hospital following a short illness. Funeral services will be at 3 PM Wednesday in the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Gibson officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Jackson was born December 7, 1909, in Arkansas, moving to eastern Oklahoma at the age of two with his parents. They later moved to Custer County, where he attended the Independent school district. In 1933 he married the former Janet Loving and they lived first in Spiro, then Wister and Clinton. They moved to Enid in 1949 and stayed here until 1954 when they moved to Tulsa. He was employed as an operation engineer for Swift Ice Cream Company for 26 years, retiring in 1970 due to ill health. Jackson was a member of the Old Timers Bowling Association, and was affiliated with the Davis Park Christian Church of Enid while a resident here.

Jackson was preceded in death by a daughter and son – in – law, Glenn and Helen Cowsar. Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Don Hackson, Irving, Texas, and Dan Jackson, Orlando, Florida; one sister, Mrs. Bill (Rena) Mounts, Durango, Colorado, and one brother, W. M. Jackson, Oklahoma City.
