ENID — Funeral service for Lewis “Gail” Hyle, 91, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, 2011, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stanley Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Gail was born to Walter Lewis and Nora Violet (Stewart) Hyle on Dec. 6, 1919, in Canton, Okla., and died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011, in Enid.

Gail served for two years in the U.S. Army.

He married Essie Sutterfield on Nov. 10, 1943, at Olivet Baptist Church in Enid, and they made their home in Enid. He worked at Safeway as a meat cutter for over 31 years. Gail was a member of the meat cutters and the Union Local 340.

Gail is survived by his wife of 68 years, Essie of Enid, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters.

Funeral for Essie Hyle, 87, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Gary Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Essie was born to Tom and Annie (Burris) Sutterfield Sept. 5, 1927, in Seminole, Okla., and passed away Friday, July 31, 2015, in Enid.

Essie married Lewis "Gail" Hyle Nov. 10, 1943, at Olivet Baptist Church in Enid, and they made their home in Enid.

She was a housewife and volunteered at Bass Memorial Baptist Hospital. Essie loved spending time with her family and attending family gatherings.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gail, in November 2011; four brothers; and five sisters.

Essie is survived by her sister, Barbara James, of Gore, and several nieces and nephews.
