Shirley Jean Hutton

(April 7, 1932 - November 10, 2013)

Funeral services for Shirley J. Hutton, 81, of Canton, OK will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 13th, 2013 at the Canton Christian Church with Chaplain Dennis King officiating. Committal will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid, OK under the direction of Haigler - Pierce Funeral Home, Canton, OK.

Shirley was born on April 7th, 1932 in Enid, OK the only child of Carl and Myrtle Holter and departed this life on Sunday, November 10th, 2013 in her home in Canton, OK. She was a member of the Canton Christian Church and the Enid Child Study Club where she served a term as president. She married Eldon Hutton on September 12th, 1951. Shirley graduated from Enid high school in 1952 and attended 2 years at Enid business college. In 1968 Shirley and Eldon purchased a small bait shop and enlarged the business and developed the trailer park near Canton Lake which became known as Huttons Corner. After selling the bait shop Shirley missed visiting with the public and went to work at Dales Quick stop. Shirley ran Huttons Corner trailer park with Eldon until she was no longer able to. Shirley cared for Eldon and was his loving wife until his passing.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Eldon G Hutton and her parents. Survivors include her daughter Pam Hutton, of Canton OK, son Jeff Hutton and wife Laura of Fairview, OK, seven grandchildren, Brandi Brandly and her husband Brad of Canton OK, Angel Humbargar of Canton, OK, Tucker Andrews and his wife Amanda of Weatherford, OK, Sandee Lawrence of Cherokee, OK, Amanda Hutton of Seiling, OK, Kaylene Rivera and her husband Rico of Weatherford, OK, and Brittany Hutton of Eakley, OK. Ten great grandchildren, Dallas, Maegann and Adriann Brandly of Canton OK, Cole, Cade and Kenidi Humbargar of Canton OK, Hunter Dunaway of Connersville, Indiana, Brendan Hutton of Cherokee OK Austin Andrews of Weatherford OK and Berlin Hutton of Seiling OK.

Funeral services for Eldon G. Hutton, 75, of Canton, OK will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, July 25, 2008 at Canton Christian Church with Steve Driskill officiating. Committal will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid, OK under the direction of Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home, Canton, OK.

Eldon was born on September 27, 1932 at Enid, OK the youngest of eight children to Henry and Anna (Blankenship) Hutton and departed this life on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at Fairview, OK. He was a member of the Canton Christian Church and the American Legion. He married Shirley Holter on September 12, 1951. Eldon graduated from Enid High School in 1950 and attended 2 years at Enid Business College. He served 4 years in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

In 1968 Eldon and Shirley purchased a small bait shop and enlarged the business and developed the trailer park near Canton Lake which became known as Hutton’s Corner.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Freddie Hutton, Lloyd Hutton, and Warder Hutton; two sisters, Wana Schneider Lietzke and Faye Collins; Survivors include his wife Shirley of the home; daughter Pam Hutton of Enid, OK; son Jeff Hutton and wife Laura of Fairview, OK; seven grandchildren, Brandi Brandly and husband Brad of Canton, Angel Humbargar of Weatherford, Sandee Hutton of Woodward, Tucker Andrews of Canton, Amanda Hutton of Seiling, and Kaylene and Brittany Hutton of Fairview; eight great-grandchildren, Dallas, Maegann and Adriann Brandly of Canton, Cole, Cade and Kenidi Humbargar of Weatherford, Hunter Hutton and Brendan Hutton of Woodward; two sisters, Phyllis Boehm of Enid and Carol Woods of Scottsdale, AZ.

Memorial donations may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (Parkinsons) or Hospice Circle of Love with the funeral home serving as custodian of funds at P.O. Box 36, Canton, OK 73724.
