Celebration of Life and Remembrance for Charles “Charlie” Hutchinson, 72, of Haysville, Kan., is 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, 2015, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Vernon Lee will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Charles passed away Friday, July 31, 2015, in Medford, Okla.

Charles was born April 11, 1943, in Cherokee, Okla., to Roy Hutchinson and Bessie (Kendall) Hutchinson.

He attended Cherokee Schools and, after graduation, devoted his time to farming.

His greatest joy in life was watching his grandsons participate in rodeos and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed camping at the lake and riding his motorcycle. One of his favorite things to do was people-watching. He also was an avid pool player and won many tournaments. In his later years, he traded his motorcycle for a riding mower and thoroughly enjoyed mowing his son’s property. He was proud to serve as a volunteer fireman for the Disney Fire Department in Disney, Okla., for several years.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sue Hutchinson; two sisters, Betty Munsell and Barbara Hawley; one brother, Jack Hutchinson; and nephew, Shannon Hutchinson.

He is survived by his children: son, Chip Hutchinson and wife Debi of Wichita, Kan.; daughter, Tina Hutchinson of Wichita, Kan.; two sisters, Linda Roller of Enid, Okla., and Joyce Tidwell of Claremore, Okla.; six grandchildren, Cindie Hutchinson, Paige Maggard, Corey Hutchinson, Travis Decker, Sammi Hutchinson and Mariah Hutchinson, all of Kansas; and five great-grandchildren, William, Noah, Casper, Skye and Kira.

Condolences may be made and the service viewed at www.ladusauevans.com.
