The funeral service for Olive Humphrey, age 104, is 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation with family is 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening, Nov. 2, 2016, at the funeral home. Burial follows in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Olive was born to Peter and Minerva (Phillips) Dickman Aug. 5, 1912, in Enid, and passed away Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, in Enid. In 1935, Olive married Christian P. Christiansen. He died in 1949. She later married Louis R. Humphrey on Sept. 6, 1955.

Olive was a homemaker. She made an impact with her creative and caring nature by sewing quilts for the Red Cross and local care facilities, capturing history with her oil painting, making smiles with phone calls to those without companions and volunteering everywhere she could.

Olive was always spreading love to all she met in too many ways to list. Her motto was "God has a purpose for me and you."

She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Grace Bible Church and Cowboy Church of Enid. She enjoyed having company and lots of it!

She is survived by her grandchildren: Edgar Christiansen; Laron Leake; Eric Christiansen; Joyce (Leake) Tow; Teresa (Leake) Helm; Kenneth Leake; Allen Christiansen; and Jessalynn (Christiansen) Avants; 26 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Olive was preceded in death by her two husbands, Christian and Louis; siblings: Lester Dickman, Vance Dickman, Emma Fitzgerald, Cecil Dickman; and children, Dr. P.W. Christiansen, Christine Leake-Barwick and Richard Christiansen.

Memorials may be made to NAMI Oklahoma, DAV, or VFW.

The guestbook is available online at www.AndersonBurris.com.
