Funeral services for Mrs. W. E. (Clara) Humphrey, 89, 1202 W. Maine, will be conducted at 2 PM Tuesday in the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Lloyd Lambert and Rev. Raymond Horner officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Humphrey died late Saturday evening following a long period of ill health. She was born in Johnson County south of Franklin, Indiana, on February 16, 1883. She moved with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Alexander, to Guthrie when she was only 10. She attended Guthrie schools and married William E. Humphrey in Guthrie on November 7, 1906. He preceded her in death in 1969. They moved to Enid in 1921.

Survivors include two daughters, Ruth and Helen Humphrey, 1202 W. Maine; one son, W. A. Humphrey, Omaha, Nebraska; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. F. E. Shafer, Sapulpa; and one brother, Cecil Alexander, Emporia, Kansas.

Mrs. Humphrey was a member of the Central Christian Church and the Women's Bible Class.

The family requests that those who wish to make contributions make them to the Building Fund of the Central Christian Church. The church and Henninger – Allen Funeral Home will act as custodians of this fund.
