September 1, 1937 - May 21, 2021

Funeral services for Carolyn Kay Hughes, 83, of Enid, will be at 10 am Friday, May 28, 2021, at the Mausoleum at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev Jim Edmison officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Carolyn was born September 1, 1937 in Enid, OK, to Frank and Bernice Hart and passed away May 21, 2021. She was raised on a farm northwest of Enid, and graduated from Carrier High School in 1955. On November 11, 1956, Carolyn married Eldon L Hughes in Enid. She worked for Safeway grocery stores for 30 years.

Carolyn loved summer trips to Colorado, attending family events and celebrations and spending as much time as possible with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Myra Woods and husband David, and son Van Hughes and wife Liz, both of Edmond, OK; three grandsons: J. D. Woods, Adam Hughes and John Hughes. She is also survived by three sisters: Colleen Quigley of Enid, Mary Probst of McKinney, TX, and Jane Upchurch of Yukon, OK.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Bernice; two brothers, Julian and Joseph Hart, a sister, Carletta Van Buskirk and by her grandson, Ian Woods.

Carolyn was a loving, devoted and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorials may by made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home as custodian of the funds. Condolences may made online at www.ladusauevans.com.
