ENID — Graveside service for Floyd Clifton Huey, 88-year-old Enid resident, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Richard Ventonis officiating.

Visitation with the family present will be 5-6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home . Service is under the direction of Anderson - Burris Funeral Home .

Floyd was born Jan. 13, 1923, the son of Jerry Leon Huey and Allie ( Anderson ) Huey in Custer County and died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011.

He grew up on the family farm in Custer County.

He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army Medical Corps after World War II.

Floyd married Mildred Hughes Aug. 16, 1951, in Enid. They made their home in Enid, where he owned and operated Huey Nursery for many years. Cliff left his mark in many yards from Enid to Northwest Oklahoma.

He enjoyed Western novels, fishing, gardening and especially the relationships he had with each of his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mildred Huey of the home ; sons, Nolan Dean Huey (Karen) of Hunter and Glenn Eldon Huey (Robbie) of Tulsa; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Jessie Huey of Altus.

Floyd was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Leon Huey; a daughter, Madonna Kay Ventonis; an infant daughter; one grandson, Jacob Scott Huey; eight sisters; and one brother.
