Visitation for family and friends of Jack Huckleberry, 88, of Enid, will be held on Tuesday, from 5:00 to 6:30 PM, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. A private family burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Jack was born August 14, 1929 in the Canton, Oklahoma area, to Cecil and Helen (Long) Huckleberry, and passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017 in Enid.

Jack graduated from Longdale High School, and Enid Business College with a degree in accounting. On December 23, 1950 he married Della Jean Howerton, at the Christian Church in Fairview, and they were married for 66 years. Jack joined the United States Army in 1951 and served for 2 years. He worked for Groendyke Transport and retired after 45 years as vice president of operations. Jack was a member of Central Christian Church where he served as a Deacon and treasurer of the Sooner Sunday School Class.

Jack is survived by his wife Della; children Sue A. Chael and her husband Lt. Col USAF (Ret.) David T. Chael of Enid, J. Curtis Huckleberry of Enid; grandson Zach Chael and fiancé Ashley Harris of Oklahoma City; step granddaughter Dr. Lauren Chael-Hendrickson, her husband Stephen and their daughters Emily and Bridget of Fishers, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Helen Huckleberry, brothers Gene Huckleberry and Lee Huckleberry.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Youth and Family Services or Hospice Circle of Love. Guestbook is available at www.andersonburris.com.
