Freda “Jane” Lamunyon Hubbart, 80, joined her Heavenly Father Jan. 29, 2015. Celebration of Life service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, at Redeemer Lutheran Church. The Rev. Thomas House will officiate. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with family will be 2-3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Jane was born Nov. 20, 1934, west of Enid, to Rex and Elna Lamunyon. She was baptized and later confirmed in the faith at Trinity Lutheran Church and remained a member until transferring to Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Jane graduated valedictorian at Waukomis High School in 1952. After completing the Enid Business College secretarial course in 1953, she was employed as a secretary in Ponca City, returning to Enid to work in 1955.

On Nov. 24, 1956, Jane married Duaine Hubbart, and the couple made their home in Enid.

They enjoyed summer vacations at Beaver Lake with their children and camping in Colorado every fall. Jane enjoyed sewing, gardening, canning and raising her children in the Christian faith. She was involved with Meals on Wheels and Mary Martha Society. Jane was the ultimate caregiver, not only for her children and husband but also for three foster children and ailing family and friends when needed.

After her husband’s retirement from the postal service in 1988, Jane and Duaine spent more time at Beaver Lake enjoying Lost Bridge Village activities and volunteering at Whitney Mountain Chapel. They were able to travel the U.S. in their motor home, enjoying community activities and making new friends. They frequently returned to Enid to enjoy the grandchildren, who always will remember her cherished banana bread.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Emery and Baby David.

She is survived by her husband, Duaine; twin sister June Brainard Calloway, Enid; sister, Leslie Mae Simmons, Colorado; her children, Cindy Koehn (Randy) and Myrna Steinke (Mike), Enid, Hal Hubbart (Teri Luckett), Watonga, Rex Hubbart, Bison; exchange student, Katri Iho Pekka, Finland; 11 grandchildren and their spouses; and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, Ross Hospice or Meals on Wheels, with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of funds.

Condolences may be made and, for those unable to attend, the service viewed at www.ladusauevans.com.
