Graveside service for Virginia L. Grantz Howell, 93, Harrah, formerly of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum, the Rev. Jim Edmison officiating. Family will receive friends at the cemetery 1 p.m. to service time.

She was born July 23, 1920, in Bison to Other and Alma Robins Hildabrand and died Nov. 28 in Harrah.

Survivors include son Alvin Grantz, daughters Barbara Bersche of Rogers, Ark., and Sondra Privitt, Copperas Cove, Texas. Preceded by husband Irvin Grantz and son Walter Grantz.

Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at the cemetery. Virginia was born July 23, 1920, in Bison, Okla., the daughter of Other O. and Alma E. Robins Hildabrand and passed away Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013, in Harrah, Okla. She lived and attended school in Garber, Hunter and Sumner and graduated from Sumner High School. Virginia was united in marriage to Irvin Grantz in August 1937, in Perry, Okla. They owned and operated Grantz Oil Co. on North Grand in Enid for many years. He preceded her in death in 1973.

She then met and married Isaac Howell, who preceded her in death in 1998.

Virginia retired from Northrop at Vance AFB. She volunteered at Wheatland Senior Center and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Alvin D. Grantz and wife Linda of Choctaw, Okla.; two daughters, Barbara Bersche of Rogers, Ark., and Sondra Privitt and husband Joe of Copperas Cove, Texas; four grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Walter L. Grantz.

Memorial contributions may be made to OMRF, heart division, with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of the funds.
