ENID — Funeral service for Dorothy Nadine Howard, 86, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, at Garriott Road Church of Christ with Pastor Ray Rose officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with arrangements by Anderson - Burris Funeral Home .

Dorothy was born to Joe and Naomi (Morrow) Holland on March 8, 1925, in Alba, Texas, and passed peacefully with her family around her on Monday, Aug. 1, 2011, in Enid.

On July 3, 1941, she married William Richard Howard in Portales, N.M., where they made their home . They moved to Kingfisher in 1961, and then to Enid in 1966.

Dorothy was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, beauty shops and collecting shoes. She was a 100 percent family oriented care-giver.

Dorothy was a member of Garriott Road Church of Christ.

She is survived by son, Randy Howard and wife Kay of Enid; two grandchildren, Gary Howard Jr. and wife Brooke, and Rheadonna Howard, all of Enid; and five great-grandchildren, Kyle Howard, Cody and Elena Camacho and Trevor and Tristan Howard.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, William Richard; son, Gary Howard Sr.; and two brothers.

Memorials may be made to Garriott Road Church of Christ.
